Hey folks,

Got an easy one, I hope. I'm done creating a couple levels and I want to back this stuff up in some other drive somewhere. What files are actually necessary when backing up all this stuff that I've created in the editor? (Projects, levels, triggers, etc.)

Thanks all!

When we put our mod under source control, these are the folders we added under the Data directory:

Editor/Mods/<your mod name>
Mods/<your mod name>
Projects/<your mod name>
Public/<your mod name>

Checking out those directories was always enough to re-create our mod to run in the editor from scratch.

Interesting, so if I were to put those files, for example, on an external hard drive, would I be able to put them back into place and load them up again?

Thanks!

Yup! I just copied a WIP from one computer to another by archiving those folders, putting it on a Google drive, and downloading and extracting said file into the other computer's 'Data' folder.

Oh sweet Windemere, you are a beautiful creature. That should save me many hours of work if my computer explodes.

Thanks much!
