I Just checked. I have Diablo II. Just that. I think the expansion Lord of Destruction goes seperately. Sorry! I wish I could join. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

We now have two possibilities :

- Buy it - it shouldn't be that expensive nowadays ...

- Since LOD includes the original game, we could try playing without the expansion - meaning without "expanded" characters.

I think that idea would work Alrik. I like playing with the Barbarian the most, anyway. Give us a time for an old school game. Seems like the weekends are best for everyone so far. You are indeed correct. When you create a new character on battlenet, you have the option of making him/her expansion or classic. You can create classic characters to play with your friends who don't have the expansion.
I really want to play with you guys, but I uninstalled D2 a while back and can't find the CD key to reinstall it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" /> As soon as do, though, I'll be on there.

Well guys I have to tell you something. It will be my first on line play. I don´t have any idea how to do it. I will install the game. I have a very slow conection (I pray that it will do). Weekend is the best time for me but what about time? When we sleep in Greece, in USA is morning...

edit 1 : Oh Alrik I will buy the expansion. It is still expensive here. Diablo II was on sales 15 €. The expansion costs about 20-25 €. But I will manage. But at the moment I am broke. I must wait till the end of the month. (pay day <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />)

What time is it for you + or - GMT? We can then set up a time so all of us can play at the same time.
When you get into B-Net it is pretty straight forward. You click "join" game,or
"create" game.
If you "join" it will be Larian//riftrunner
If the game does not exist, you can "create" it. Please try to use the same name//password. That way we will all know a game is going on, and join you there. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

How does multiplayer work? I have joined a game and then there are loads of other players, then it says someone has invited you to battle evil (or something like that) what do I do after that?

The invitation is probably to form a party. You do the same as in the singleplayer but in group. You help eachother out in the quests.

Not nessassarly. You can ask them to help you. Then they can follow you. But best is to stay together. You share expirience you know <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

If someone invites you into their party, hit P on your keyboard and then accept the invitation. Then you'll be in their party and you will share experience.

If someone goes hostile towards you, get the heck out of there unless you feel like possibly having your character killed by someone.
