What happens when you try to start BD? Is it a problem with the game itself, or when trying to load a save?
Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting the game, and did you do so before you installed the patch? Did you try re-installing the patch?
Did you try running the configuration program and hitting the reset button?
As a last resort, you could try backing up your saved game folders (just in case) and doing a clean un-install / re-install + patch.
