Hi All,

For some reason it takes an hour to load my game when it never did before. I had it installed and then for a long time couldn't play it and ended up taking it off. Now when I try to load it, it takes forever and at the very end, I get[color:"yellow"] "An I/O error occured while installing a file. This is normally causesd by bad installation media or a currupt installation file" [/color]
This has happened twice when it gets to Larian Studios\Beyond Divinity\Wav\music\magic touch.ogg Can the 1.47 patch help this or is there any way I can fix this? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" /> I played, finished and loved DD and would really like to play this one now.

Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before trying to install the game? I've had an anti-virus program cause the same symptoms (very slow install, then an error) installing software.

Did you check the CDs for dust, scratches or fingerprints, which could be causing a problem? (though that probably wouldn't account for the slow install)

Try copying the files off both CDs into the same folder on your hard drive, and install the game from there. If the files copy ok then there is probably not a physical problem with the disks, and you will avoid any issues with the optical drive during the install.
