Hey guys
Few Days ago i decided to take a look at my D:OS Mod i made when the Original came out. So to be exact it's more of a terrain without any scripting or something but i put a looot of effort and time in to it and so i thought: Hey why not convert it to EE, shouldn't be much of a problem since it's nearly only terrain an objectdata.

Well i followed the tutorial to do this here on the board and voilà everything worked except for the already know things like out of place objects and so on but nothing special.

But now a few hours ago i noticed something terrible! I have nearly NO SOUND, except for the rain and the waterfall, neither in the editor nor when i try to play the mod in game, not even from clicking the buttons in the menu...so long story short i don't know what to do, i googled and read trough many threads here but nothing seems to fit for my problem. I'm absolutley sure it has something to do with my mod cause if i load the Main Module i have sound, in editor and in game.

So sorry for the long post but i really hope somebody can help me, it would be a pity if i have to redo the whole thing.

I have not run into this problem myself, however in my editor there are a ton of sound errors of sorts on the debug panel for my converted mod. So far it hasn't caused problems though.

If you want I'll take a stab at fixing for you it but you'll have to upload the mod so I can poke around.

You could try and make a new mod with the same name and then simply copy over your terrain data and objects and such one folder at a time.

That the menu sounds don't work though, that's very strange. I'm wondering if you didn't quite get the meta edit correct. Did you make sure to add "Shared" as a datapack? Did you make sure that all the </node> type entries are properly opened and closed?

Ok so i just couldn't leave it and fiddled around a bit more and it seems to work now...looks like something was not copied correctly. So sry to bother you but i didn't really know what could be the problem until i posted it here, sometimes inputs from other people really help.

So thanks for your help. =)

No problem :P

You gonna make anything with your map? It looks pretty well done.

Thanks for your appreciation.

And yes, the goal is to create a small (or maybe big) mod. I'm somewaht of a world design perfectionist so i want to have a map that looks as close as possible like the ones in the original game before i do some scripting and other stuff.

I've also got some ideas for a story but nothing serious, as i said i really like designing a world and then build upon that.

Glad someone is hahaha. Anyone who has played my mods will note I am most definitely not.

I was going to suggest that you could make a straight combat romp pretty quickly so people can check out your map. And if you had further designs for something more elaborate that could always be built on it over time.

That sounds like a good idea, i think i'll finish the exterior, most likely this week, and then i put in a few mob groups to fight and explore the map.
