Don't they remain in the sequence after death? If so, just wait and resurrect the character just prior to their turn.

I think that resurrection is already too unfair of a gimmick, which only the player uses while enemies dont.
So i dont mind it having some drawback.

It also makes the story of the game largely pointless. All those problems with someone being murdered, some people getting killed ... why? Death stops being an issue if you can just buy a scroll and resurrect whoever you want.

But i largely pretend that isnt so in order to get some enjoyment from the story.

I'll just ignore your inane complaints that a videogame has the mechanics of a videogame.

Resurrection already has the drawbacks needing a character to delay their turn and do nothing, of healing the target to only 20% (well within range to be one-shot killed), and requiring you to heal immediately or die.

I am not asking for a big change, I'm not asking for a buff. To be sure of getting the other person up, you will still need a character to delay their turn so that they are the last ones acting (thus leaving them open to taking damage themselves). If you use it when enemies still have turns left, the resurrected person will likely die immediately.

The newly revived person will still need to heal themselves.
