Hello. Picked up the divinity games on steam sale and so far love it. I had a small question I hope someone can help me with. I have two separate files and on one I have a character (charA) that has blacksmith 2 base and another (charB) with base 1 and bonus from scientist. Making swords, charA is able to make better weapons than charB. I can't give the exact numbers at the moment but CharA creates a str 8 required weapon while charB only makes a str 7 required weapon.
Is there a difference in the total points in blacksmith or does 2 base Trump the bonus from scientist?
The source of the ability level doesn't matter (ability points, talent or equipment bonus), but the character level also affects the level of the weapon created, and thus its stats.
AHA, ok that makes sense. I thought it was all based on blacksmith level and you could create weapons but if you weren't high enough stat level you wouldn't be able to use it. Thanks for the clarification
