90% of the loot crates in FortJoy are empty.
Maybe have at least one item in the loot crates?

Lucky Find can help with that. Also the early game is supposed to have scarce loot.

Larian is probably going to be a bit cautious with altering the loot frequency, because that will ripple, and produce a flood of loot over time more than they intended or is needed.

Divinity has always been a bit like that, though I agree it gets a bit tedious. When I was playing Divinity 2 way back I'd just use whirlwind to "harvest" all the crates in my vicinity, though I dunno if it reduced the amount of loot I obtained as a result.

From reading the thread title I thought this was a call for micro transactions and I opened it with morbid appalled fascination.

As for the ACTUAL topic, yeah, it sucks. I don't know if there's a way to really make it better without also just removing half the clutter in the game which wouldn't be great.
