When something happens (eat food, have spell cast on you, ...) there is a little box in top right that shows the effect. How do you see the meaning (impact) of that effect ?

I found hte list of buffs/debuffs in the manual on steam.

In case people haven't figured that out yet, pause the game (tactical pause, not sure, what's the default button, I remapped it to F, it's where your game is paused and you still can choose what items or skills to use, also you switch between your three weapon sets there) and hoover over the icons with your cursor, they should give you the idea (help text).
