While playing the game, I went to options and turned off shadows and vsync. I closed and reloaded the game and now the screen is black but I can see my cursor. The music is loading but my display is black. Is there a way to revert the graphics settings to their original display without being in game? Or is there a way to fix the dark display? I was able to play the game with no problems before changing my graphics.

I have tried updating drivers, restarting steam + my computer, changing my resolution.

I am using an HP Pavilion with the specs below:

7th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-7500U Processor

Display: 15.6-inch diagonal Full HD IPS BrightView WLED-backlit (1920 x 1080)

Memory: 12 GB DDR4 SDRAM (2 DIMM)

Hard drive: 1TB 5400RPM Serial ATA hard drive

Graphics: Intel® HD Graphics 620

Any advice towards the matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Using any mods?

Temporarily remove graphicsettings.lsx at C:\Users\sound\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 and reboot?

No mods. I am uninstalling and reinstalling the game in Steam currently.

How do I access "graphicsettings.lsx at C:\Users\sound\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2"?

Do I have to right click somewhere in Steam or on my desktop?

Thank you for your speedy response!

Just move it to someplace else and boot the game. It should generate a new one.

If you open Windows Explorer (WinKey-E) you can select Documents under Libraries, and then browse down to the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2' folder to delete or rename the graphicsettings.lsx file.
Alternately, you can search your hard drive for the graphicsettings.lsx file (WinKey-F).
