It's a shame, as I really enjoyed the first Risen but the total absence of character customisation was a bit of a turn-off: which is perhaps strange as I found the character likeable and amiable enough but I want to play as my own character unless there's a very good reason to play as someone else's, such as with Geralt, for instance. But that's rarely the case.

I sort of enjoyed it, and while it was undoubtedly more polished than the original, I think they also polished away a lot of what gave the original its sparkle. I also like playing as a female character, which was possible with some contrivance (as long as you remembered to turn off the player voice otherwise it was a bit weird) but why it wasn't just available by default I dunno.

I'm thinking there must be single-character third-person games out there lately but as always happens when I try to put my mind to work it won't cooperate. Maybe I should go back to bed!

Two Worlds II is a mess (all your characters look like pornactors). I love it. And yeah, character customisation is kind of important or at least useful for immersion. But if I could choose between a selfmade char or somebody with a clear cut personality ... I don't know. Although good writing can make you feel, that even your self-made char has a personality (the Dragon Knight was a lovable wiseass laugh ).

My Dragon Knight sounded wonderfully inept and out of her depth a lot of the time: which was great for me as that's the character I like to play, the unlikely and unwilling hero! Though she did have that certain degree of snark that was usually about right and I loved being able to wind up the town gossips, though occasionally it went a bit too far when recounting people's fate in FoV for instance.

TW2 I wouldn't say stands out in terms of being especially good or bad in regards to its protagonist, just that there was no reason to have such a limited choice. My male version always ended up looking like a sort of Motörhead's drummer's ugly and boring brother.

Risen series, Gothic series and Elex great games by Piranha bytes, has the lovely piranha bytes feeling, Elex was under THQ? not sure, either way.
Two worlds 2, had a really nice magic system, and some cool quests and the comment: "haha thats rich!" never really got old.
Dragons Dogma and its pawns were amazing and fun, especially the combat.
Kingdoms Of Amalur had some nice combat and fun stuff too, nice armors and fun quests. Very fun, and closest to ego draconis 2
Fallout, Skyrim, and all that Bethesda, all good, let's just first release another skyrim edition called the ultimate special super deluxe ultra pro edition no.22 please!

Even with all these games. I want and hope that the 3 on homepage(BG3) is about Divinity: Ego Draconis 3!

The games above doesn't have the same feel as Divinity 2:Ego Draconis although Kingdoms of Amalur is really close I'd say. I still need more.

Please give ME divinity: Ego Draconis 3!!
