I am playing the definitive version.
I brought the egg back to Big Marge, got the treasure.
I came back and pepper has killed everyone, but i didnt interact.
I got the Spirit Vision ability came back spoke to Pepper and Big Marge(ghost), but the quest doesn't progress.

I even tried speaking to Big Marge(ghost) first but nothing as well.

Any ideas? I am now going to find the father, but my quest isn't on that stage.

i can confirm this. On my run with DE ghost marge didnt have anything relevant to say as well after peeper killed everything (her dialogue should tell you to see his father).

This did not happen.

I completed the quest normally by just seeing his dad anyway tho.

Recently I did this quest (on PC) without any problem... maybe everything is fixed?

I still didn´t get t he usual dialog with Big March, but I can confirm that you can just straight walk to his father and close the quest.

However, I was forced into fighting Peeper. IIrc in vanilla his father gave you a choice, kill Peeper or refuse, now this dialog doesn´t even come up and according to the questlog, the game treats it like I have refused.

The fight is easy though and I got alot of source orbs out of it, still not sure if this is intended.

The quest is broken for me as well as quite a few others on youtube/steam forums. Where after using spirit vision Marge only says "Peeper? Pepper? Where are you Peeper!?"
