I'm starting to experiment with the Maya Exporter and running into some errors. I just downloaded the latest version of the Editor from GOG. I set up the Editor (Classic, not Definitive Edition) and Maya Exporter as described on the wiki.

Everything works until I get to the final step on the Maya Exporter Setup wiki page. When I hit the ModP button to set the Divinity Engine Data path, no window pops up and I get this error in the bottom right hand window of Maya:

# Error: NameError: file <maya console> line 123: name 'dataPathFile' is not defined

I also noticed no window pops up when I hit the MLE button, and I get this error:

# Error: ImportError: file <maya console> line 34: No module named QtUi

Hitting the other buttons at least brings up the expected window dialogs.

So, looks like something might be amiss with the python scripts? I am running Maya 2015 SP2 on Windows 10 version 1803.

having the same issue after following the guide....
rightclick ModP button, click edit, under any of the top line add a line
dataPathFile = ""

that fixes that one.

for the other,
click in maya...window--->settings/pref--->plugin manager
click loaded and autoload on loraintools plugin...reload, that should do it...

Hello.
Me too got an error in script ModP. I fixed it, using guide above. And set Divinity Data path.
But when I hit on the MLE button, i got second error:

# Error: WindowsError: file <maya console> line 374: 3 #

I am running Maya 2015 SP2 (student verion) on Windows 8.1

I understood as fixed this error.
I play Def Edition game. And edit in Def Ed too. Therefore path in ModP need select to DefEd Data.
It works.

Hello again.
I got new problem with export from maya.
I can export mesh object. But export physic collider (bullet) I can do it.
The bullet file is created, but Editor imports him empty.
I used files from wiki (squirrel).

Somebody can export bullet physics from Maya, using for this larian plugin?
