Is it a bug or can you not actually complete the quest of washing the dishes?

I clicked on the "sink" and things happened to it.. but the dishes remain dirty, the bucket still has water.. and he still wants me to do the dishes!

(i have no patches installed)

once you fill the bowl with water, you need to drag the pile of dirty dishes into it until all of the dishes are clean. once you get them all clean you need to pick them up and show them to the chef. then you should complete this quest.

but dragging them about seems to do nothing for me... it gives that cross to show the item cannot be placed there... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

You have to drag the clean dishes into your inventory and then you have to talk to the cook.

AH! i was trying to put the bucket of water in the "broken dishwasher" NOT the bowl!


I have tried looking for very detailed walkthroughs... and failed,yet what you just linked me to would be prefect. Is there a walkthrough with actual screenshots of all vaguely important things? (like caves/keys/chests in open countryside etc)
