As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a IT Systems Administrator to make sure our infrastructure runs smoothly and support users in Kuala Lumpur office.
Senior IT Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

  • Monitor server health and system performance to ensure uptime and reliability for critical building systems.
  • Perform routine server maintenance, including patching, updates and backups, with a focus on minimizing disruptions to critical operations.
  • Administer Windows server and Linux environments and related server applications.
  • Administer Intune environment for remote devices and users.
  • Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams. Ability to support incident discussion and resolution.
  • Layer 1 network switch port configuration.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation on configurations, changes and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for server & user hardware purchasing.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for software support.
  • Participate in incident response and emergency procedures related to studio building management systems.
  • Participate in capacity planning in regard to user hardware and software.
  • Participate in studio building modifications that affect IT infrastructure.
  • Work closely with global IT and local studio management to maintain the server room infrastructure.
  • Responsibility for local studio IT communication with Studio management.
  • Mentor junior IT sysadmin engineers.
  • Collaborate with international IT team in system development, testing and release.
  • Provide support to the IT network, security and Linux teams.
  • ICT projects as assigned by IT Leadership.
  • On-site support for end users > hardware & software.
  • Onboarding and offboarding process for users.
  • Work closely with local studio management to ensure user workstations are set up correctly.
  • Provide support for users in all studio locations and update tickets.
  • Maintain studio meeting room & conferencing tech solutions.
  • Hardware & peripherals inventory and asset management.
  • Manage backup and storage infrastructure.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
  • Other duties as assigned .

Requirements

  • Experience with ITSM.
  • Knowledge of Windows Systems (Client and Server).
  • Experienced in Cloud infrastructure AWS/AZURE.
  • Experience with Intune deployment.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience managing a virtualized infrastructure.
  • Experience with Google Workplace, Office365, Atlassian Suite.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (WAN,LAN,TCP/IP,VPN,VLAN).
  • Working hours flexibility around infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
  • This is a full-time, on-site role, requiring your presence in the office to support collaboration and creativity.

Nice to have

  • Linux/OpenStack experience.
  • Storage and backup concepts.
  • Scripting languages (PHP, Javascript,SQL, Python,PowerShell,Bash).
  • Background in large-scale migration projects and operating system upgrades.
