As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Senior Technical Artist to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.
 
Senior Technical Artist - Pipeline

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical follow-up to the art team in regards to performance and guidelines.
  • Design and develop new art pipeline tools with a strong focus on usability and efficiency, enforcing established code standards and fostering a culture of best practices within the team.
  • Analyze the creative process to identify and implement opportunities for tool enhancements and workflow optimization.
  • Initiate and follow up on research and development as well as the technical pipeline development.
  • Create and maintain technical art documentation to support tools, workflows, and processes.
  • Act as interlocutor between the art and the programming team.
  • Provide mentorship to junior and intermediate team members, fostering their growth and professional development.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in high-level coding languages (Python, C#, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of code architecture to develop maintainable tools, streamline workflows, and enhance pipeline efficiency.
  • A solid understanding of a digital art content creation pipeline (high and low-poly modelling, unwrapping, baking, texturing, level building).
  • Team oriented and a strong desire for collaborative participation in a team-based pipeline across different geographic locations.
  • This is a full-time, on-site role, requiring your presence in the office to support collaboration and creativity.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with Maya, Houdini, Substance Designer and Painter.
  • Knowledgeable on the latest advances in (procedural) content creation.
  • Grasp of mathematics, including trigonometry and linear algebra, with the ability to apply them effectively.
  • Experience in shader development, including HLSL, and a solid understanding of the Physically Based Rendering (PBR) pipeline.
  • At least 1 shipped project as a Technical Artist
