Disappearing save files (Xbox)
A fix for this issue is now available.
To update manually:
- Make sure your console is connected to the internet and then press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Select Profile & Systems>Settings>System>Updates
- Under Updates you will see:
- Console update available. Select to begin your update, or
- No console update available. This means your console is up to date.
Protecting your saves:
We advise you to activate the cross-save feature. This will allow you to recover your last five saves should the problem reoccur.
If you activated cross saves and find yourself in a situation where your save games are lost (you will see the EULA screen on rebooting), you should be able to recover your last 5 saves by following these steps:
- Link your Larian account to you Xbox account https://larian.com/account/login
- Enable cross-save in Options > Gameplay > Save Options > Cross-play
- If you find yourself in a situation where your save games are lost (you will see the EULA screen on rebooting), follow the same steps to re-enable cross-save. That will let you recover the last 5 savegames.
